Daytona Bike Week 2015

I went to Daytona Bike Week this past March for the first time.  It was great!  I left the cold weather of northern Virginia behind for temps in the 80s and an awesome bike rally.  A friend (Luis) and I shipped our bikes down there to save time and flew down.

IMG_3070We meet-up with some friends (Rich and Elaine) who moved downed there last Fall.  This rally was huge.  There were several different locations with rally events.  We also rode out to explore the historical sites in St. Augustine, FL and went down near the Kennedy Space Center to see a night launch of a rocket.  I highly recommend this rally for some great rally events, great beach weather in March, and exploring the outlaying area.

My bike (Harley-Davidson Street Glide) and Luis’ bike (Honda Gold Wing) being loaded on the transport truck for Daytona Beach.  We got a good price for transporting the bikes from from Remington Tours.

Luis and I on day one of our trip. Rich and Elaine took us in their jeep to get some real good seafood to start-out our vacation.  We had real good seafood several times that week.

We rode out to the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse and climbed to the top. It was well worth it for the great views. Pic is of Luis, Rich, and me in front of the lighthouse.

In this pic, Rich and Luis are at the top of the lighthouse.
